I have had a 2002 Ford Focus from new and it has the Ford 6000CD unit in it. Until this year it's been ok, then the faults started with the CD player. First I got an Error code E11 and read on the forums that usually if you powered down the unit the fault clears and it did. Then recently I got a Error E12, so I ejected the cd and gave it a wipe and reinserted it, same thing E12, so I tried again and the cd was ejected slowly this time. Mmm, so I stuck it back in, well tried to only for it to go in and get stuck in.

The unit now doesn't recognise that there is a cd in and will not eject it. Should I try to take the unit apart to get the cd out? Or is there better options? If the unit is dead would I be as well to buy a brand name player and facia fitting, possibly with some kind of ipod connection?
