After Dune 2, avid strategy gamers were waiting for a new game, Warcraft filled that spot immediately. The first Warcraft was well received, it has a great ambiance, sounds and interface, impressive cutscenes (a Blizzard characteristic) and 2 players mode through modem or null-modem. On the downsides, the single player mode is quite short, with 2x12 missions. Graphics miss some colors sometimes though, and army management is a bit simple compared to Dune II.
